In a historic moment, Moroccan international Ismail Sabiri gifted his national team a perfect start in the 2026 World Cup by scoring the first goal against Brazil during the opening match of the Atlas Lions in Group C.
Sabiri scored the goal in the 21st minute of the first half, at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, giving Morocco a 1-0 lead over the Brazilian team, the five-time champions.
