Today, Saturday, June 13, elements of the police at Marrakech Menara Airport arrested an Algerian carrying French nationality, on suspicion of spreading digital content that includes defamation and insults against Moroccan citizens, as well as slander and insults against a public institution governed by law.
The suspect, who is 30 years old, had published digital content on her social media accounts, which included insults to Moroccan citizens and explicit accusations against public employees of bribery and preferential treatment while performing their duties when applying traffic laws.
These criminal acts formed the subject of a judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, which resulted in the issuance of a national search warrant for the individual concerned and her arrest today, Saturday, as she was preparing to depart on a flight to France.
The suspect has been subjected to provisional detention pending an investigation being conducted by the regional judicial police service in Marrakech under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, in order to determine the true motives behind committing these criminal acts.
Violations should not be imposed on girls.
The girl was seen criticizing driving in Morocco and apologizing to her country Algeria, claiming that driving in the kingdom is very bad, before she began to direct accusations at the police, alleging that they stop people even without committing violations in order to collect money and put it in their “own pockets.”
The most ironic part is that she condemned in the video how girls are stopped and violations imposed on them, and claimed that in her country, girls are not stopped and no fines are imposed on them, unlike what happens in Morocco.
