The Regional Directorate of the Ministry of National Education, Preschool Education, and Sports in Tangier-Asilah has decided to resume in-person classes in all public and private educational institutions in the Tangier-Asilah region, starting from Tuesday, February 10.
The Directorate clarified on Monday that the decision was made to implement the recommendations of the Regional Vigilance Committee, in coordination with local authorities.
This time, the Regional Directorate of Tangier-Asilah urged principals of educational institutions, especially those located in rural areas, to activate the roles of local vigilance committees and coordinate with local authorities whenever necessary to make suitable decisions that ensure the safety of female and male students, as well as administrative and educational staff, and to inform the Regional Directorate in a timely manner.
Orange Alert Bulletin
The General Directorate of Meteorology expects to record heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and the possibility of hail, from today, Monday, to tomorrow, Tuesday, with locally strong stormy winds in several regions of the kingdom.
The Directorate stated, in an alert bulletin of “orange” vigilance level, that heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and the possibility of hail (from 40 to 60 mm) is expected in the regions and provinces of Tangier-Asilah, M’diq-Fnideq, Fahs-Anjra, Chefchaouen, Tetouan, Larache, and Ouazzane, starting from 11 AM today until noon tomorrow.
It also added that the same phenomenon (from 25 to 30 mm) is also expected in Kenitra, Taounate, Sidi Kassem, Taza, and Al Hoceima, starting from 11 AM to 11 PM today, Monday.
The Directorate also predicted locally strong stormy winds (from 75 to 80 km/h) in Taza, Ksar es-Sghir, Tawrirt, Boulemane, Figuig, and Midelt, starting from 11 AM until 7 PM today, Monday.
