Among Them a Football Player.. Gas Ends the Life of a Moroccan Family

Four members of a Moroccan family died today, Tuesday, after experiencing asphyxiation due to a carbon monoxide gas leak in the municipality of Torrox in the province of Malaga, southern Spain, according to local media reports.

The same sources reported that the victims, consisting of two adults and two minors, lost their lives due to inhaling gas emitted from a malfunctioning home heating device.

The incident was reported this afternoon after the bodies were discovered inside a house in the “El Pontil” neighborhood, where emergency response teams and police arrived, but they could only confirm the deaths.

Spanish media mentioned that the individuals involved were a couple in their fifties and their two children, aged 17 and 19 years.

Initial investigation data indicates that the incident likely occurred during the night, due to the accumulation of gas within the residence.
