This quasi-journalist claimed he was responding to a Moroccan journalist who criticized the Tunisian Football Federation and the sports conditions in Tunisia; however, a return to the original statement clearly shows that the Moroccan journalist presented his opinion in a respectful and disciplined manner, commenting on the disastrous results of the “Eagles of Carthage.”
This position sharply contrasts with the daily practices of Tunisian journalism, which regularly criticizes various sectors in Morocco, often reaching direct accusations and insults, without experiencing any similar offense from the Moroccan side.
Instead of responding in a professionally disciplined journalistic manner, the pseudo-journalist Sahbi Bakkar chose to launch a direct and despicable attack on Morocco and King Mohammed VI amid insinuations and cheap hints. He adopted a pathetic, vulgar style, addressing the entire Moroccan people, claiming that “Tunisia is the origin and Morocco only copies from it,” then moved on to a discourse of the wretched and cheap incitement, accusing Moroccans of “selling their land to the Zionists,” and asserting that “Tunisians don’t accept the hand,” among other degrading statements that have no connection to sports criticism, revealing a deep-seated hatred and a low ethical level.
It is worth noting that the channel “Tunisna” always opens its screen for attacking Morocco and portraying it as an existential threat to Tunisia, and it has previously aired false reports and hosted figures to make insulting statements, without any intervention from the Tunisian authorities, who have returned to complete dominance over the press and media sector after a brief period of freedom.
This escalation comes amid Moroccan-Tunisian relations that have been almost frozen since President Kais Saied received the “Algerian puppet” Aziz Ghali, in a desperate attempt to appease the Algerian regime in exchange for continued political and material support, including the provision of electricity and oil, in a situation where Tunisia is being described as an “Algerian province.”
