The Attorney General at the Court of Appeals in Fez announced that following the collapse of a residential building in the city of Fez this Thursday morning, a preliminary assessment resulted in the death of nine people and the injury of others with varying degrees of severity. The public prosecutor’s office ordered a thorough and detailed judicial investigation to uncover all the causes, examine all the circumstances surrounding this incident, and identify potential responsibilities of those accountable.
A statement from the Attorney General at the Court of Appeals in Fez added that “in its commitment to protect the lives of citizens, the public prosecutor’s office affirms its complete dedication to the strict application of the law and dealing firmly with anyone found responsible for this tragic incident.”
The statement concluded that “the necessary legal consequences will be arranged upon the completion of the mandated investigations.”
