The Ministry of Interior and the Tétouan region announced the commencement of the return to several neighborhoods in Ksar al-Kabir on February 15.
In this context, starting from 7:00 AM on Sunday, February 15, 2026, free trains will be scheduled from the Tangier city train station towards Ksar al-Kabir. Additionally, buses will be provided to transport the individuals concerned with the return, free of charge, from multiple points to Ksar al-Kabir. This is to ensure the support and assistance of citizens and facilitate their movement under the best conditions.
Furthermore, additional areas covered by the return and the chronological arrangement of subsequent phases will be announced later through official notifications and various available channels, depending on field updates.
The local authorities in the Tétouan region urge citizens not to return to areas not mentioned in this announcement before the issuance of an official notification regarding this matter. This is until the water level recedes to levels that ensure safe access and suitable reception conditions, ensuring their safety and the regularity of operations. To achieve this objective, organizational field measures will be established by creating monitoring points at the entrances of the areas concerned with the return of residents, to verify that the entry operations are limited to targeted individuals authorized for that purpose, ensuring the orderly execution of the return process under safe and controlled conditions.
