The association in Fnideq denied what it described as rumors regarding the cancellation of Yassin al-Amri’s lecture, scheduled for Saturday, February 14.
A news site claimed that the authorities had revoked the lecture permit for security reasons, but the organizing association published documents yesterday, Friday, showing that it obtained all necessary permits, and stated that it did not receive any rejection to organize the lecture from the authorities, either verbally or in writing.
The association held websites and pages responsible for spreading the rumor of the ban.
It is noteworthy that the rumor of the ban had turned into a trending topic across various social media platforms for days, amid allegations of a crackdown on the “hero” Al-Amri and a war against Islam.
