Highway in Morocco to be Named After Donald Trump

President Donald J. Trump Highway: This will be the name of the road connecting the city of Tiznit in Morocco to the Dakhla Peninsula in Western Sahara, as announced by the President of the United States this Sunday.

“Thank you to the highly respected Mohammed VI, King of Morocco — it is a tremendous honor! I look forward to traveling the entire length of this Great Highway one day, hopefully soon!” wrote Donald Trump on the social media platform Truth, accompanying a promotional video for the Moroccan project.

The highway will span over 1,000 kilometers, covering 36% of Morocco’s coastline. According to the video shared by the American President, the project is estimated to cost around one billion dollars (879 million euros) and will include “the largest overpass in the country.” However, the creators of the promotional video state that the President Donald J. Trump Highway “is more than just a road.”

“Thanks to the historic courage of the President, Moroccan Sahara has entered a new era of seeking peace, dialogue, and prosperity,” the narrator remarks, recalling that Morocco was the first nation in the world to recognize the independence and sovereignty of the United States. Since then, Washington has been a strong ally of Rabat.
