French Justice Minister Gérald Darmanin expressed appreciation to Morocco after the arrest of 16 individuals linked to serious offenses, including drug trafficking, murder, fraud, and money laundering.
In a post on X, Darmanin highlighted that these arrests resulted from enhanced cooperation and coordination between Morocco and France. He also mentioned that steps have been taken to request the extradition of detainees who are French nationals.
The French official further noted that formal notifications have been issued concerning dual nationals, who are ineligible for extradition, allowing Moroccan authorities to proceed with prosecution and trial.
