Morocco’s national team has departed Monterrey, Mexico, and arrived in Houston, Texas, to prepare for their Round of 16 match against Canada in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Atlas Lions made the journey on Tuesday after securing their spot in the knockout stage. Morocco advanced to the Round of 16 following a thrilling 3-2 penalty shootout victory against the Netherlands in the Round of 32.
Before departing from Mexico, the team engaged in an indoor recovery training session aimed at helping players alleviate fatigue and regain their fitness after the intense match.
Morocco is set to take on Canada on Saturday at Houston Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 6:00 p.m. (GMT+1), as they vie for a place in the World Cup quarter-finals.
