Azziz Akhannouch, the head of the government and the former president of the National Rally of Independents party, attacked what he described as the attempts of some political opponents to wait until the last moments before the elections to attract new names and bolster their lists, confirming that party work is not built only during the election periods.<\/p>\n
During a party meeting held in the city of Dakhla on Saturday, July 25, he stated, \u201cElections are not a market,\u201d adding in Moroccan dialect: \u201cHe who has it, has it; and he who does not, does not,\u201d referring to the fact that parties that work continuously and have structures and activists are more prepared for electoral dates.<\/p>\n
The head of government considered that the National Rally of Independents party forms \u201ca nursery for competencies,\u201d emphasizing that the strength of any political party is not only linked to the names that appear before the elections but also to organizational work, structuring, and communication with citizens over the years.<\/p>\n
In the context of his talk about electoral competition, Akhannouch said that some political entities \u201chave stopped working for five years\u201d before they start seeking new names as the election date approaches, questioning: \u201cHow are they going to play the match?\u201d<\/p>\n
He added that his party has, according to his expression, thousands of elected officials and hundreds of thousands of members, stressing that the preparation for elections does not begin at the last moment, but is based on field presence and listening to citizens\u2019 concerns.<\/p>\n
Akhannouch pointed out that Moroccan voters, according to his estimation, are no longer voting only for individuals, but are also looking at the programs and visions presented by parties, confirming that the National Rally of Independents \u201cdoes not sell illusions to Moroccans,\u201d and that its goal is to continue working to serve citizens.<\/p>\n
The head of government stressed that the strength of his party is linked to its activists and to the culture of collective work within it, adding that political work requires \u201ccalmness, sobriety, and stability,\u201d and not just raising slogans or acting at specific times.<\/p>\n
