The General Delegation for Prison Administration and Reintegration denied the accusations issued by the Moroccan Association for Human Rights regarding the situation of the prisoners detained in connection with the “Generation Z” events.<\/p>\n
The delegation confirmed, \u201cIn response to the statement issued by one of the associations that claims these detainees are deprived of their right to education and healthcare and are suffering from poor detention conditions,\u201d that the prisoners in question enjoy all the rights stipulated in the law regulating prison institutions, as they benefit from their right to communicate with their families via phone and from family visits, as well as the right to purchase goods from the stores within the institutions, in addition to receiving medical care inside and outside the prison institutions when necessary.<\/p>\n
Regarding educational pursuits, the same source added, all necessary measures have been taken to ensure their right in this regard, as the number of prisoners from this group continuing their studies reached 108, including 13 at the university level, 20 at the secondary level, 40 at the intermediate level, and 6 at the primary level, in addition to 29 prisoners pursuing vocational training in various fields.<\/p>\n
The General Delegation noted that it had previously issued a clarifying statement on June 26, 2026, in response to the same fallacies mentioned in the association’s statement, \u201cHowever, this association’s statement chose to ignore those clarifications and insisted on re-promoting the same claims, which demonstrates the bad faith of the parties behind this association, who are accustomed to attacking institutions to serve their dubious agendas that have been exposed to public opinion.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
