The Moroccan star Achraf Hakimi, defender of Paris Saint-Germain and the Moroccan national team, published an emotional post on his official account on the “X” platform today, Friday, where he directly expressed his frustration over the ongoing “rape accusation” he has faced for more than three years.<\/p>\n
In the widely reacted post, Hakimi said: \u201cThe judiciary looked into my eyes and told me: \u2018If you were not famous, there would be no case at all.\u2019 I chose to remain silent for years. I thought that maintaining dignity, patience, and trust in justice would lead to the right decisions being made. Today, a story that is not mine is being told at the expense of my family and my life, and especially the truth. I sometimes feel that I have become an easy target. I have been waiting for this trial since day one. And now, I am eagerly awaiting it. Finally, I will be able to speak.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hakimi’s stance came after the Versailles Court of Appeal decided today, Friday, to uphold the referral of the player to the criminal court on charges of rape, thus confirming the decision of the investigating judge issued at the end of February, against which the player had appealed.<\/p>\n
This decision comes at a very sensitive time, as the Moroccan national team is preparing to play its second match in the World Cup against Scotland this evening on American soil.<\/p>\n
Hakimi is 27 years old and plays for Paris Saint-Germain. He had requested during a hearing before the investigative chamber last May to issue a decision to not pursue the case in which he is accused of raping a 24-year-old woman (who was the same age as him at the time of the incident).<\/p>\n
Hakimi faces rape charges dating back to February 2023, which he has categorically denied from the very first moment. Hakimi’s defense asserts that the accusation is based primarily on the statements of the accuser only, pointing out her refusal to undergo medical examinations and DNA tests and to hand over her phone for investigation.<\/p>\n
