FEZ, Morocco (MNTV) \u2014 Morocco has signed two key agreements with the International Civil Aviation Organization to enhance aviation oversight, expand training capacity, and reinforce security measures across its national and regional air transport systems.<\/p>\n
The first agreement introduces a structured international training program for civil aviation inspectors, developed by Morocco\u2019s Ministry of Transport and Logistics in collaboration with ICAO.<\/p>\n
Scheduled to begin in 2026, the three-year initiative is expected to train around 100 inspectors annually, with a focus on participants from developing countries.<\/p>\n
The program will cover a wide range of technical areas, including flight operations, airworthiness, aviation security, air navigation, accident investigation, and regulatory frameworks.<\/p>\n
Training sessions will be conducted in Morocco through both in-person and hybrid formats, using French and English as primary languages.<\/p>\n

The second agreement focuses on enhancing Morocco\u2019s internal aviation systems, particularly in the areas of facilitation and security. The framework also outlines stricter security protocols, including improved screening procedures for individuals with special status, tighter controls on high-risk cargo, and the development of cybersecurity systems to protect critical aviation infrastructure.<\/p>\n
Implementation will involve coordinated efforts among sector stakeholders, supported by expert evaluations to ensure compliance with international standards.<\/p>\n
