Royal Palace Announcement:
In light of the historic transformation of our national cause and in reference to the pivotal developments brought about by Security Council Resolution 2797/2025, which was the subject of His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s recent address to his loyal people, it has been decided to designate October 31 of each year as a national holiday, during which His Majesty will graciously issue a royal pardon.
His Majesty has named this national occasion “Unity Day,” reflecting the deep significance of the enduring national and territorial unity of the Kingdom. This day will serve as a collective national event to express commitment to the Kingdom’s sacred values and its legitimate rights.
Furthermore, it has been decided that royal announcements will henceforth occur on two official occasions: first, during the Throne Day speech, and second, at the opening of the first session of the legislative year.
Additionally, His Majesty, in his capacity as Commander of the Faithful and Head of State, retains the authority to address his loyal people at any time and on any occasion he deems appropriate.
The scheduled celebrations for the fiftieth anniversary of the glorious Green March will continue without a royal address to the nation on this occasion.
