The “Generation Z” movement announced in a statement that its peaceful protests for the popular demands embraced by various segments of Moroccan society have yielded some gains.
The movement highlighted the increase in the budgets for healthcare and education in the 2026 budget proposal, as well as certain measures aimed at enhancing political integrity. However, it deemed these gains insufficient despite their significance.
It emphasized that without a clear acknowledgment and effective mechanisms to combat corruption, conflicts of interest, and ensure accountability, genuine change will not occur in Morocco.
Additionally, the Generation Z movement called for new peaceful demonstrations on Saturday and Sunday in several cities, including Tangier.
