On the instructions of King Mohammed VI, Crown Prince Moulay Hassan chaired a ceremony on Wednesday, October 22, at the Royal Palace in Rabat, in honor of the Moroccan national under-20 football team members. This event was held following their victory in the 2025 World Cup, organized in Chile.
During the occasion, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Fawzi Lekjaa, national team coach Mohammed Wahbi, and team members presented themselves to greet Crown Prince Moulay Hassan, who took a commemorative photo with the team.
Subsequently, a tea reception was hosted in honor of the under-20 national team members.
This reception reflects the ongoing attention that the King pays to youth and supports their development through sports, as well as the special interest he has in this sector, particularly football.
The event follows the historic achievement of the under-20 national team, which secured the world title—an unprecedented accomplishment in Moroccan and Arab football history.
This victory aligns perfectly with King Mohammed VI’s vision, which aims to elevate national sports training to the highest international standards. This is particularly evident through the Mohammed VI Football Academy, a true incubator for young Moroccan talents.
It also serves as a significant source of pride for the entire nation and highlights the values of diligence, perseverance, and hard work that pave the way for success and excellence.
King Mohammed VI had previously sent a congratulatory message to the national team members following their victory over the Argentine team in the under-20 World Cup final, stating that the Moroccan team honored their country and represented African dignity remarkably.
