The results of the household economic survey conducted by the High Commission for Planning for the third quarter of 2025 indicate that 9.6% of households reported their ability to save in the upcoming 12 months.
The commission noted in a report that, “In the third quarter of 2025, 9.6% of households compared to 90.4% reported their capacity to save over the next 12 months. Consequently, the balance of this indicator remained negative at minus 80.8 points, compared to minus 82.6 points in the previous quarter and minus 78.1 points in the same quarter of the previous year.”
Additionally, in the third quarter of 2025, 95.7% of households reported an increase in food prices over the last 12 months, while only 0.2% observed the opposite. The balance of this indicator stood at a negative level of minus 95.5 points.
Regarding the expected evolution of food prices in the next 12 months, 81.8% of households anticipate continued increases, while 0.4% expect a decrease.
The balance of this indicator is negative at minus 81.4 points, compared to minus 76.6 points in the previous quarter and minus 83.5 points in the same quarter of the previous year.
