In a historic moment for Moroccan football, the national under-20 team has qualified for the World Cup final for the first time in its history after defeating France in a penalty shootout, following a 1-1 draw in regular and extra time. The match took place on Wednesday at the Elías Figueroa Brander Stadium in Valparaíso.
The Moroccan team won 5-4 in penalties, with substitute goalkeeper Abdelhakim Messbahi credited for the victory after saving the final penalty from the French side.
