Israeli Company Tests Anti-Tank Kamikaze Drone on Moroccan Soil (Video)

The Israeli company BlueBird has successfully tested its suicide drone model, SpyX, in southern Morocco. The company released a video of the test on Sunday, October 12, showcasing the targeting of a heavy armored vehicle (Ratel) and an M60 tank belonging to the Royal Armed Forces. This differs from a previous test in March 2024, which involved a light vehicle.

According to defense sources, the effectiveness of the drone was tested against armored targets equipped with a defensive system known as “protective cage,” designed to counter suicide drones. Despite this defensive barrier, the SpyX was able to breach protection and strike its target accurately.

SpyX is an advanced suicide drone with a flight duration of up to an hour and a half and a communication range estimated at 50 kilometers. It is equipped with high-resolution thermal and daytime cameras, allowing it to track targets or execute strikes on predefined coordinates. Its maximum speed during an attack is over 250 kilometers per hour.

Previously, BlueBird announced in December 2024 plans to establish a factory for drone production in Moroccan territory, reflecting the level of security and industrial cooperation between Rabat and Tel Aviv.
