Roya Beauty, a social media influencer, has denied reports of her being sentenced to four months in jail following her protest against construction work on a Sunday.
After the news circulated, attributed to “the company,” the influencer refuted the claims. However, she confirmed the issuance of a preliminary ruling against her, which includes a three-month suspended prison sentence and a fine of 200,000 dirhams.
Roya stated that she plans to appeal the ruling, asserting that everything published about her imprisonment is inaccurate.
Several months ago, the influencer had posted a video on Instagram from a construction site, protesting the ongoing works on Sundays and accusing the company of creating disturbances and disrespecting the residents.
