Girl in Tangier Viciously Attacks Family Home Over Camera Incident

A young woman attacked a family’s home in the Magouga neighborhood of Tangier on the night of Thursday, September 11. She engaged in verbal abuse towards the residents and threatened them due to her objection to the release of footage captured by a surveillance camera installed in the area.

This incident followed the posting of a video featuring the same woman with a friend and a group of young men, after they reportedly disturbed nearby residents, who expressed their disapproval of such behavior in their “conservative” neighborhood.

One family member filed a complaint with the local police station. However, no action was taken against the individual involved in the incident, allegedly for “unexplained reasons,” despite the presence of evidence from witnesses and recordings. The behavior in question is punishable under Moroccan law by imprisonment and fines, or one of those penalties.

According to the complainant, the surveillance camera was intended to protect his property, deter criminals, and enhance security in the neighborhood. However, the assailant opposes the camera’s presence, which could reveal unlawful or immoral behavior, not necessarily related to theft or obstruction.

The young woman and her friend also filed complaints against the homeowner, alleging that he filmed them without their permission.
