On Monday, September 8, a man took his own life in a hotel in Tangier, where he was a guest in one of the rooms. The deceased, in his late thirties, was found hanging from a rope in a room at the “Madrid” hotel. Authorities were notified, and local law enforcement began their investigation.
The body was transported to the morgue at “Duc de Tovar” hospital for an autopsy to determine the actual cause of death. Security personnel began their usual procedures in incidents of this nature.
Tangier experienced a similar incident in June, where a GCC national died under “unknown circumstances” at the “Flandria” hotel in the city center.
