Tragedy Strikes Netflix’s “Emily in Paris” Set in Venice
On Friday evening, around 7 PM, at the historic Danieli Hotel, Diego Porella, a 47-year-old assistant director, suffered a sudden health crisis, believed to be a heart attack, while preparing for the final scene of the day.
Despite the swift efforts of the medical team on site to revive him, the emergency doctor who rushed to the scene could only confirm his death.
Porella, a native of Venice, was a respected professional trained in Rome, London, and New York. In addition to his work in film, he was involved in the visual arts and literature. Recently, he had discovered a passion for poetry and writing stories for children. Following this tragedy, the filming of “Emily in Paris” has been temporarily halted.
