Without Health, We Can’t Organize the World Cup

The Minister Delegate to the Minister of Finance, Fawzi Lekja, stated that the health and development sectors are among Morocco’s top commitments in preparation for the 2030 World Cup. Responding to criticism about focusing on the World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations instead of health, education, and employment, Lekja asserted that hosting the World Cup presents an opportunity to advance the country, expedite projects, and generate wealth. He emphasized that the World Cup involves more than just football; it impacts all sectors and regions of the country.

Regarding the health sector, Lekja highlighted its significance for Morocco’s World Cup organization, noting FIFA’s stringent requirements in this area. He pointed out that this will assist in the comprehensive rehabilitation and reform of the sector.
