Security forces apprehended four individuals, including citizens from sub-Saharan countries, while they were assembling and preparing boats for illegal migration in the Beni Wassin area near Tangier.
The operation, carried out by police elements from the Tangier Security Division in coordination with the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance, took place on Saturday morning, October 25.
The suspects were caught in the act of preparing and assembling inflatable boats intended for illegal migration operations. A subsequent search revealed four ready-to-use inflatable boats in their possession.
Additionally, the search led to the seizure of another group of inflatable boats that were still in preparation, along with a quantity of raw materials, tools, and equipment used in their manufacture.
The suspects have been subjected to an investigative procedure overseen by the competent public prosecutor’s office, aimed at identifying all potential links to this criminal network and apprehending other alleged individuals involved in this illegal activity.
