On Monday, September 15, the 25th edition of the “Marhaba” operation concluded, recording a “historic” influx of over 4.06 million Moroccans living abroad, marking an increase of more than 11% compared to the “Marhaba 2024” operation.
The Director of Communication at the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity noted that from June 10 to September 15, the operation welcomed more than 4.06 million Moroccans from abroad. She emphasized that these figures reflect the strong ties between Moroccans worldwide and their home country, as well as the considerable human and logistical resources mobilized to assist the community.
She added that this edition of the “Marhaba” operation, spanning over three months, was characterized by a “smooth” management of traveler flows, especially during peak periods when more than 86,000 travelers arrived from abroad.
The Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, in coordination with other stakeholders, established 26 reception centers for “Marhaba” both in Morocco and abroad. Over 1,000 personnel were mobilized, including social workers, doctors, and nurses.
Direct assistance was provided to more than 88,000 Moroccans living abroad, including 22,000 cases of administrative and customs support, and over 7,500 medical cases, some of which required transportation to hospitals, as well as 1,575 direct mobility assistance cases.
