In the summer of 2025, Morocco experienced exceptional performance in its tourism sector, welcoming 4.6 million tourists during July and August. This represents a 6% increase compared to 2024, as reported by the Ministry of Tourism, Craft Industry, Social and Solidarity Economy.
The same source indicated that this summer season saw a significant return of Moroccans living abroad, totaling 3 million, a rise of 13% compared to the same period last year.
The ministry clarified that these results reflect both the strong connection Moroccans have to their homeland and Morocco’s ability to attract more foreign tourists, especially in the summer.
Additionally, the Ministry of Tourism disclosed that by the end of August of the current year, Morocco had received 13.5 million tourists, marking a 15% increase compared to 2024.
