On the orders of King Mohammed VI, Crown Prince Moulay Hassan inaugurated the “Prince Moulay Abdallah” Stadium today in Rabat, following its reconstruction.
The new stadium is designed to be a high-quality sports facility in preparation for upcoming international events, particularly the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN 2025) and the 2030 World Cup, to meet the requirements for high-level sporting competitions.
The “Prince Moulay Abdallah” Stadium features a hybrid natural playing surface with advanced technology, the first of its kind in Africa, combining natural grass and artificial fibers. This provides an ideal ground in terms of drainage, durability, rapid restoration of ground quality, as well as performance, sustainability, and player safety.
The stadium has a total capacity of 68,700 seats and offers three types of hospitality areas. It includes 110 suites and five hospitality lounges, accommodating a total of 5,400 seats, in addition to a space dedicated to individuals with disabilities.
Furthermore, the stadium, built to modern specifications, includes a large area for media, encompassing both print and broadcast journalism, providing journalists and media with the necessary logistical and technical support.
The reconstruction work also included the establishment of five facilities to facilitate access to the stadium, as well as six parking lots.
