Sofyan Amrabat Joins Real Betis

The Spanish club Real Betis announced on Monday that they have signed Moroccan international Sofyan Amrabat on loan from Turkish club Fenerbahçe until the end of the season.

The Andalusian club stated in a press release that they “have reached an agreement with Fenerbahçe regarding the transfer of Sofyan Amrabat, who has joined the Spanish club on a loan contract lasting until the end of the season.”

Amrabat, 29, began his professional career with Dutch club Utrecht before playing for Feyenoord, Club Brugge, Hellas Verona, Fiorentina, and Manchester United, culminating in his recent stint at Fenerbahçe.

The defensive midfielder has extensive experience in European football, boasting titles including the FA Cup, the Belgian league, the Dutch league, and two Dutch Super Cups.

Amrabat is regarded as a key player for the national team, having contributed to the historic achievement of the Atlas Lions during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where the team finished in fourth place.
