The General Directorate of Meteorology has forecasted a heatwave accompanied by eastern winds and thunderstorms with hail from Monday until Wednesday in several regions of the kingdom.
The Directorate stated in an orange alert bulletin that thunderstorms with hail and gusty winds are expected today, Monday, from 3 PM to 11 PM, with precipitation levels ranging between 20 and 40 mm in the provinces of Al Haouz, Ouarzazate, and Taroudant.
Additionally, a heatwave is anticipated with temperatures ranging from 44 to 47 degrees Celsius in the provinces of Tata, Assa-Zag, Smara, Boujdour, and the regions of Guelmim and Oued Eddar.
The same source noted that temperatures between 39 and 44 degrees Celsius are expected today in the provinces of Fahs-Anjra, Tetouan, M’diq-Fnideq, Al Hoceima, Taourirt, Oujda Angad, Berkane, Jerada, Nador, Driouch, Chefchaouen, Larache, Wazan, Moulay Yacoub, Fez, Taounate, Meknes, Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane, Benslimane, Khemisset, Khouribga, Khenifra, Sefrou, Hajeb, Taza, Azilal, Beni Mellal, Fqih Ben Salah, Settat, Rhamna, Marrakech, Youssoufia, Qalaat as-Sraghna, Al Haouz, Essaouira, Chichaoua, Taroudant, and Kelaat Mgouna.
