Security forces in Tangier have apprehended a suspect in the case of a fatal stabbing in the Bir Ghazi area. The suspect, a 17-year-old minor, was arrested after several days of searching.
Last week, the minor inflicted a deadly stab wound on his friend, resulting in the victim’s death in the Al-Zahra neighborhood of Al-Aouama.
After the incident, the suspect went into hiding. Despite attempts to evade capture, law enforcement from the Beni Makada district tracked him down and ultimately cornered him in Bir Ghazi.
Facing pressure from authorities, the suspect surrendered willingly without resistance and was subsequently detained to be presented before the competent public prosecutor as part of the investigation into the crime and its underlying motives.
