The Moroccan national team has qualified for the quarter-finals of the 2024 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) after defeating the Democratic Republic of the Congo 3-1. The match took place on Sunday, August 17, at Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi, as part of the fifth round of Group A.
Moroccan goals were scored by Osama El Milioui (8th and 80th minutes) and Rabi Hrimat from a penalty in the 70th minute. Jibiti Kitambala scored the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s goal in the 43rd minute.
With this victory, Morocco ranks second in the group with 9 points, trailing behind Kenya, which leads with 10 points.
