The city of Tangier will host open-air film screenings on August 15 and 16 as part of the second edition of the “Cine Plage” festival. Organized by the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication (Communication Sector), the festival will take place from August 15 to 30 in Saidia, Tangier, Rabat, Agadir, Essaouira, and Dakhla.

The program includes the Moroccan films “The Hero” and “Hadda and Karimo,” set to be screened on Tangier’s beach on the evening of Friday, August 15. On Saturday, August 16, the films “Routine” and “Ottoman” will be showcased.

According to a press release from the ministry, the festival aims to bring cinema closer to the public by offering free screenings of Moroccan films in an outdoor setting, celebrating the diversity and creativity of national cinema and providing a cultural sharing moment accessible to everyone.

The same source added that the festival will also feature artistic and craft segments, including musical performances and cultural activities, offering the audience an experience that blends cinema, music, and living heritage.
