Two members of the civil protection service were injured while attempting to extinguish fires that broke out on Tuesday, August 12, in the regions of Chefchaouen and Tetouan.
According to the civil protection agency, the injuries included a facial injury and a broken leg. The injured individuals have been transported to the hospital for treatment.
The same source indicated that northern Morocco experienced two forest fires in the Krancha area of Chefchaouen and in the Ben Qreish community of Tetouan. Civil protection teams, supported by logistical resources and field personnel, have been deployed to control the flames. Operations continue despite difficult terrain and strong winds.
