The General Directorate of Meteorology has announced an anticipated heatwave from today, Friday, until next Tuesday. Thunderstorms, accompanied by hail and gusty winds, are expected in several regions of the kingdom today.
In an orange alert bulletin, the Directorate indicated that temperatures are predicted to range between 39 and 43 degrees Celsius today in the provinces of Fquih Ben Salah, Beni Mellal, Al Haouz, and others.
It also forecasts temperatures between 44 and 48 degrees Celsius in the provinces of Tata, Taroudant, Assa-Zag, and others from today until next Tuesday.
Temperatures of 44 to 48 degrees are expected on Saturday and Sunday in the provinces of Laayoune, Tarfaya, Tan-Tan, and Guelmim.
From Saturday to Tuesday, temperatures between 42 and 46 degrees are expected in multiple provinces, including Fquih Ben Salah, Beni Mellal, and others.
Additionally, temperatures of 42 to 46 degrees are forecast from Sunday to Tuesday in provinces such as Wazan, Larache, and others.
Temperatures between 39 and 42 degrees are expected from Sunday to next Tuesday in the provinces of Salé, Skhirat-Témara, and others.
On Monday, temperatures are also expected to range from 40 to 44 degrees in Laayoune, Tarfaya, Tan-Tan, and Guelmim.
The Directorate also issued an orange alert for thunderstorms and hail with expected precipitation between 15 and 30 mm in the provinces of Ifrane, Boulemane, and others from 2 PM to 9 PM today.
