The Egyptian authorities have arrested “Suzy Al-Urduniyya,” a prominent content creator with millions of followers, particularly on the platform TikTok.
On Saturday, August 2nd, the Egyptian Ministry of Interior announced that, following several complaints against the content creator for posting videos on social media containing inappropriate language and violating public morals, the necessary procedures were put in place, leading to her arrest in Cairo’s Matariya district. Upon confrontation, she admitted to publishing the mentioned videos to increase viewership and generate financial profit. Legal measures have been initiated.
In recent days, Egyptian authorities have also arrested several social media influencers amid severe allegations related to “human organ trafficking.”
