The train service in Morocco will know a special schedule during the period from Wednesday, May 20 to June 7, aimed at ensuring the transportation of travelers during this time, which witnesses a high influx due to the celebration of Eid al-Adha.
The National Office of Railways stated that it will work on providing additional trains, with a particular enhancement of the service on several routes.
The office added in a statement that a special schedule will be adopted for the Al-Borak trains, ensuring a trip every hour between Tangier, Kenitra, Rabat, and Casablanca, starting from six in the morning until nine in the evening for outbound trips.
This program also includes scheduling an additional train at ten in the evening, along with increasing the capacity during peak periods, throughout the duration of Eid al-Adha.
There will also be an enhancement of the “Atlas” service by increasing the capacity and scheduling additional trains on the main routes, particularly the Marrakech-Casablanca-Fes, Tangier-Fes-Oujda routes, in addition to trips heading towards Oujda, Nador, Khouribga, and Safi.
Regarding the rapid shuttle trains, the usual service will be maintained during the outbound and return periods specific to Eid al-Adha, with a special adjustment for the day of Eid, to ensure its suitability to the level of demand recorded on that day.
